Trauma isn’t who you are

Our experiences in life lead us to where we end up, but they don’t have to define who we are today.

You might try saying to yourself, “I had a traumatic experience, but I am not that experience.”

Ask yourself, “Who would I be without this story? Who do I want to be today?”

Is it possible to use your experience, your story, to help someone else with theirs?
