Conscious Connections

After working as a therapist for over 5 years I have noticed some very ineffective and inefficient things happening. I, also, have a very simple solution to these big problems.

I have been working on creating a more efficient way for therapists/coaches and clients to find their “conscious connection” (or best fit) more effectively through assessment tools based on evidence based research (not personal opinions and reviews) that matches the client to the therapists that meet specific criteria based the the clients challenges.

BIG PROBLEMS:

1. Asking for help is hard and oftentimes the person needing/wanting support gets overwhelmed and doesn’t know how to choose a therapist/coach from the hundreds or thousands of therapists/coaches that pop up on google when they search for support. So, they guess and then…they hope.

This is archaic and unnecessary. Someone in distress, or depressed, anxious or possibly having recently experienced a trauma should not have to guess who is going to be able to help them best. I believe they should have some way of narrowing down the list of therapists/coaches by more than — a bio the therapist/coach wrote or by thinking the therapist/coach “looks nice in their picture” or a review based on the personal opinion of a few people that either did find the right match, or didn’t.

2. Once the person needing/wanting support does their best guess of who they think might be able to help them, oftentimes, that therapist/coach never gets back to them.

So, now they have to start again or worst of all, they give up. Sometimes by the time a client calls me, they have already made 14 previous calls that have gone unanswered by other therapists/coaches. (This, in itself, is another issue altogether.)

3. Just because I am the one that took the 5 minutes to return their call, email or text, doesn’t mean I am the right fit for what their particular challenge is. Now, the client is either going to believe “therapy doesn’t work” “coaches are hoaxes” and/or their belief that “no one can help me” gets validated. All of these statements are false if the person seeking help gets the support they actually need.

Finding a therapist or coach doesn’t have to be this hard.

I want to change the entire way we connect clients and therapists/coaches. I want it to be easy, efficient and effective. I don’t want people to have to guess who is the right fit for them. I don’t want them to feel more overwhelmed when they are already struggling in some way. I don’t think anyone should have to go unheard, unsupported or left behind.

THE SOLUTION:

I have a very simple solution to this issue which includes both the client and the therapist taking their own assessment based on specific identifiers in human development that can match clients to therapists based on evidence based research.

*It is not based on personal reviews and/or the opinions of past clients experiences, but based solely on evidence based research studies that identify specific criteria with each person that then matches them with a therapist that fits their personality and characteristics.

WHERE THE MONEY GOES:

Any donations will go towards research and helping clients and therapists pay for the assessment needed to begin this process.

If you are at all interested please reach out and I can share more with you. Right now, I’m looking for investors, donators and people interested in being a part of co-creating this vision with me. (There will be an interview and assessment process to be accepted on this team.)

If you are a person looking for help, I am hoping to have this up and running by June 2021. Stay tuned for a very different and easy way to find the right match for supporting you in exactly what you need without having to guess!!

When Trauma Finds Us

Trauma doesn’t always begin at the time of the event. Instead, it often takes root later, in a moment of realization—when a person suddenly understands that what happened wasn’t okay.
