Trust your gut, but don’t.

Trust your gut, but don’t.

Worth the long read*

Our perception of a moment in time matters. It matters in the moment and can “stick” us with long held beliefs that create great suffering.

Interestingly enough, we can “look back” on that same moment in time as we develop and view it from a different angle.

Our logical mind can tell us that the belief that was created in that moment is false, but our mindbody isn’t always able to shift along with the new developmental outlook.

This not only creates a dissonance within the self, it creates a distrust of the self. “I KNOW this to be true, but I don’t FEEL the truth of it.”

As we grow, develop and increase our awareness—the same moment in time continues to change shape.

This is what “normal” growth and development looks like. And it can be very confusing. So often we are attached to our old beliefs that moment in time created. It keeps us stuck.

It creates splits within the self, distrust of our own intuition and a longing for connection—that often is mistaken for loneliness from a lack of outside sources. What we need to do first—is reconnect with our selves.

The rest will follow.
