BECAUSE UNSAFE MEMORIES HAVE NO CONCEPT OF TIME.


A PHRASE, SOUND, SMELL, OR SENSATION WILL UNCONSCIOUSLY ALERT THE SURVIVAL BRAIN TO RESPOND AS IF THAT MEMORY IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW.


ITS YOUR BODY’S WAY OF TRYING TO KEEP YOU ALIVE.


THROUGH PROCESSING THE MEMORY YOU LET YOUR BRAIN KNOW YOU ARE SAFE NOW – IT GIVES THE MEMORY AN ENDING.


AND YOUR BODY NO LONGER NEEDS TO ALERT YOU OF DANGER WHEN THOSE SAME SOUNDS, SMELLS OR SENSATIONS ARISE IN YOUR PRESENT.
